May is half-way finished, but the NPD Group likes to release things kind of late. Check out the hardware sales for the month of April in the United States:
Xbox 360 – 295,381
PlayStation 2 – 206,995
Game Boy Advance – 169,115
PlayStation Portable – 162,438
Nintendo DS – 138,427
Xbox – 38,987
Gamecube – 38,028
It’s a lot different from Japan. Nintendo DS is in a large lead across the ocean, while the 360 is being ignored. How will the release of the Nintendo DS lite in June affect the market? Only time can tell…
