BF2142 Open Beta This August?

EA has confirmed the release of an open beta of BF2142 this August. Has EA finally learned form the huge mistakes and bad decisions made with Battlefield 2? It’s openly called the buggiest game released, and EA hasn’t really bothered listening to the community for feedback. The numerous patches that have been released usually made more bugs than they fixed.
To release an open beta will certainly make things better for EA and swedish developer DICE. Bugs would be spotted early, and hopefully fixed. Since BF2142 uses the same engine and the same disastrous net code as Battlefield 2, with the lessons learned, it should definitely be a more stable game overall. If EA doesn’t manage to screw it up before launch.
