Xbox360 Pricedrop This Year

We mentioned a few months ago that IBM was making a 65nm version of the Xbox360 CPU. According to a source from Microsoft, ATi is also working on an improvement of its Xenos GPU used in the console. The new chips will be cheaper to manufacture, and consumer will be able to save almost $100, the source claims. If Microsoft can manage to cut the price by $100, the PlayStation 3 would cost twice as much as an Xbox360. Even $50 would mean big competition to Sony.
