Red Steel Controls Updated

On July 3rd, 2006 in Uncategorized -

Red SteelDeveloper Ubisoft is counting on Red Steel to be a worthy launch title for the Wii, but the E3 demo suggested otherwise. Players reported the control mechanism to be rather chunky, and not precise enough. Red Steel producer Marie-Sol Beaudry wrote on the Official Red Steel Blog at IGN:

We’re continuing to tweak the controls to optimize the game and ensure it’s a great experience on all levels, for example keeping the precision and accuracy of the aiming but working on the sensitivity and the stability. Also the sword fighting is going to offer more diversity in movements and couple of special moves I will not talk about this time.

She also mentioned that the sword play “proved to be a true challenge”, unlike the gun play which was fairly straight forward.

Red Steel is one of the 6 officially announced Wii launch titles.
