Las Vegas Not Happy With Rainbow Six
The mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar Goodman, is not happy watching Rainbow Six dropping by in the next installment of the tactical shooter franchise. In Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Las Vegas, you play on a special team rescuing hostages and shooting terrorist (nothig out of the ordinary) in the famous gambling city. That’s “built on a false premise” and harmful to the economy according to the mayor.
I don’t know if he saw Ocean’s 11, if that was good to the economy, or built on a “false premise”. I’ve never heard of a city complaining for being mentioned in a videogame. Alan Feldman from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority says, “I’m confident that the general public can distinguish between what’s reality and what’s fiction.” Finally, we’re talking common sense.
