Xploder HDTV Game Player will upscale your PS2 from the usual 480p to 720p/1080i HD format. Naturally, it doesn’t mean it will be any prettier, I’ll just fit your HDTV correctly. The settings can be saved on your memory card so you don’t have to go through the setup every time.
According to Sony, the PS3 will be able to upscale PS2 and PS1 games to HD as well; in the meantime, Xploder is the only solution. No price has been announced as of now.
