Ubisoft And Midway Show More Wii Support

The Wii is getting a lot of media attention lately, and it seems the major developers believe in Nintendo next console. EA recently announced they are working on 6 Wii titles, and now Ubisoft and Midway have unveiled their plans for the Wii.
During the Ziff Davis Electronic Games Summit in Napa, Ubisoft boss Laurent Detoc said he was very excited about the console, “the first time I picked up that sucker I couldn’t stop playing it.” he said. He further revealed that Ubisoft is currently developing 7 games for the Wii.
In the meantime, Midway President David Zucker announced they were making six games for the Wii, including Mortal Combat Armageddon, scheduled for a 2007 release.
That’s three of the major game publishers supporting the Wii with half a dozen titles each. Clearly, the Wii is far more popular among third party developers than the GameCube was. A good indication that Nintendo isn’t making the same mistakes they made with the Cube.
