Shaq On The Cover Of NBA 2K7

Miami Heat All-Star Shaquille O’Neal looks to be the cover of 2K Sports’ NBA 2K7. Shaq was also the cover athlete of last year’s version, NBA 2K6. Publisher Take-Twe says they chose Shaq in particular because they are showcasing a new post play mechanics in 2K7, somewhat inspired by Shaq’s game. The man himself says:
“You only get to represent the best by playing with the best. NBA 2K7 is the game for champions and I’m proud to be a part of the best basketball game anywhere.”
Shaq won his fourth NBA title earlier this year. The game, however, is scheduled for release this September on PS2, Xbox, and Xbox360. The PS3 version is rumored to be a launch title, or at least in the launch window.
