Microsoft Denies HD-DVD Based Games

In wake of the Xbox360 HD-DVD add-on demonstration last week, there has been quite a few rumors suggesting that some developers may build their games to use only HD-DVD discs, and not DVDs. That would of course require people to have the add-on in order to play certain games, not a good business strategy for Microsoft.
A Microsoft employee has confirmed that they have no plans of creating games that would require the add-on, rumored to cost under $200. The drive itself is designed to only play movies, so from a technical standpoint; it is not possible to play games from the drive.
