EA Says Wii Will Cost $170 (Really)
August 21st, 2006 by Darren Stevens in GameCube, Offbeat, Rumor, Wii
In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, EA COO David Gardner says they believe that the Wii will be priced at $170 in the US. During the interview, not yet published, Gardner is rumored to say, “I’ve heard in Japan that the price is about $170, but I don’t know if the price has been set in Europe yet.”
Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has previously said the Wii would cost no more than 25,000 Yen, or $220. Other than that, Nintendo has been silent ever since. And because of that, we keep getting rumors, and rumors. And rumors.

I think this estimate is too low, but if the Wii does get released at 170 US dollars, then it is my professional opinion that Nintendo has won the “console war” that they wanted to get away from.

Sounds abotu right considering what are you getting basically an xbox with a eyetoy for 250$ is not right ,not worth it at all.
180$ for an eyetoy + xbox sounds about kidna right.
thats what the wii is basically a console with the power of the xbox with a controler that has eyetoy technology.
