Battlefield 2142 Hack Video

Recently we reported on the Battlefield 2142 hacks that have already emerged, and EA’s ability to overlook the most blatant bugs in the engine before starting on BF2142. The guys over at battlecoders.com have made a 7 minute video of the hack/cheat in action. Hopefully some of this will push a few buttons at EA and DICE.

Well EA did it again… release another load of “crapware”. I installed the Demo “crapware” today for Battlefield 2142, and could even get it to run once. Right from the start I get an error message stating that d3dx9_29.dll was not found and if I uninstall and re-install this MIGHT fix the problem. WRONG! THANKS EA FOR ANOTHER WINNER! YOU GUYS REALLY NEED TO PULL YOUR HEAD OUT AND SMELL THE CRAPWARE. FREAKIN RIDICULOUS!

You can download d3dx9_29.dll on google, then put it in C:/windows/system32

Yes I just installed the DEMO and ran into the exact same problem. d3×9_29.dll not found.
I just ran a default install, I did not change a single option.
I will follow DrZsbl’s advice. Looks like a simple fix.

Well here is my $0.02. I followed the advice of DrZsbl and it worked like a charm the game is up and running.
The D3xd… file goes in the c:\windows\windows32 directory.
Actually, the one I downloaded had its own setup program and automatically put it there.
There seemed to also be a 30 and 31 DLL out but I went for the 29 one.
All is well.

Too late for me … EA alreay lost me on this game … I’m not a big fan of there’s as it is and I have to swallow my pride and buy Crysis anyway so they won’t get another $50 from me. I bet the game is buggy as hell anyway.

O.K. alright… got the direct X problem solved easily. Now the crappy game isn’t tracking my score. I’ve gotten several unlocks and promotions and everytime I go to BFHQ I’m still a recuit with no points at all. Fuckin Crapware EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jup, after the first few days after the release there appeared to be a ‘tracking problem’ and a message was shown in the bottom that EA was working ‘around the clock to fix this problem’. They used a lot of backups which caused some of your scores to go lost.. Now after about a week or so they kind of fixed it.. but still I sometimes find myself with 0/40 points and having to wait hours before it gets restored.

1st off you have to have a good pc.
2nd still think you have a good pc? upgrade it, then play it.
3rd go find the newest version of Direct X.
4th go get the patches. theres 4 of them out now
If still can’t play it? Your PC sucks and you will not be able to play it. Direct 10 is almost here. You will need a 8800 + to play those game. I don’t won’t to here “FUSTERATED GAMERs” say next year that they cant’ play any of the new games with there Nv 5200 - 7950’s / Ati 9200 - 1950’s. Upgrade upgrade upgrade.

The Hacks at http://www.187ci.com/ are much better. The BF2 Hacks, and BF2142 Hacks have aimbot and a plethora of features that dwarf this hack.

I am looking at these video’s of cheater’s and I now realise why I die and get killed with someone hiding in a box or, I fill them with a whole clip and dont die then kill me! Same person get’s 20 frag’s in a min!!!

As long as you have incompetant coders making games, you will have hackers.
And lets face it, EA excel in hiring incompetant coders. (They must hire coders from Microsoft).
If you are a commander, trust me.. You will not be safe in your hiding spot, I’ll find you and knife you. (Then teabag you). If you are a troop, I wont teabag you.. not from 250 meters away. EA will *NEVER* beat us, Punkbuster cant detect us for crap.., so join the fun.

EA, your BF2142 sucks, i hate your system. DAMN IT!! I m hoping i can upgrade my soldier when i played offline. Damn!! Tart! I cant! I have to played online to be able upgrade my weapon unlock. This is piece of shit, with my crap connection i cant fight well in the online field. Piece of shit!!

EA like their money, dont want to advertise high specs and stable internet cause their target audience is anyone wholl buy it regardless of this(not to mention that its sooooo anal about your connection by design) Anyway, as a player, hackers confuse me. I get enjoyment from a) doing well at the game, b) taking someone on at a level playing field and hopefully winning and c) using my skill to get badges, medals etc. Maybe its just my perspective, but how is using hacks making use of the moey you spent on the game?. I guess its a case of well done, you ruined some other peoples experiences, and perhaps you wouldnt be as good (or as respected) as someone who actually plays the game, but you look like you are really good. Is that the point? Im not being sarcastic btw, I really dont understand why hack. Is it that hacks cost money and its a way of not feeling cheated by EA and yourself? or just to look better, to confirm that you are superior as a gamer, period, and that us sheep dont use hacks because we dont have the balls? hehe that one sounds like scarface.

The DLL files wich is messing isnt EAs fault, because DXs original stall has it, or had it within the system dir, somehow it gets screwed when you stall or unistall games using it, just remember to update the Dx
