Bioware Makes Handheld Debut on DS

September 20th, 2006
ds liteBioWare, famous for games such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Baldur’s Gate, and Neverwinter Nights, has announced today that they will be making their first handheld game on the Nintendo DS. BioWare president, Greg Zeschuk, stated:

We are committed to creating the best story-driven games in the world, and the Nintendo DS offers us an exciting new platform to engage.

Dan Tudge, project director and former president of Exile interactive, will lead the development group. Previous games that Dan Tudge has worked on include Sega’s world Series Baseball 2K2 and 2K3, and Toxic Grind.

As usual, no further details were revealed, but one can assume it will be another single player oriented RPG game, a genre BioWare has mastered by now.
