Xbox360 Will Support 1080p

By announcing the HD-DVD drive add-on for the Xbox360, Microsoft, quite surprisingly, said that the Xbox360 will support 1080p games with a simple software update. Furthermore, the console will upscale your regular DVDs to 720p resolution, the same way it does with regular Xbox games played on the 360. Microsoft says there will still be no hardware HDMI support.
Coupled with the cheap price tag on the HD-DVD add-on ($165 in Japan), plus the fact that the Xbox360 will support 1080p, this is a serious threat to Sony, who promoted their PS3 as the only console supporting “true HD”.

not really actually expect a black 360 with a larger HDD and a HD-DVD built in unit. This HD-DVD is doing so well there gonna make a more impresive unit and it will undercut SONY’s pricetag haha

Best is an opinion- Therefore none of this is worth any merit whatsoever.

haha, microsoft is not a threat to sony because the only platform they are competing on is game systmes. do microsoft make tv’s? do they make cameras, camcorders, dvd players, and home theatre?.. no.
what is really funny is that all sony vaio computers rely on microsoft as their o/s. there wouldn’t be vaio computers without microsoft.
