PS3 Peripheral Prices Revealed

Following the previous report of Sony revealing their PlayStation 3′s launch titles, Sony has also announced the prices of the console’s peripherals at Sony’s 2006 Gamers Day event. The prices of the controller and memory card, have remote have been detailed, as well as a new announcement about the PS3 having a pack-in movie.

The Sixaxis PS3 controller will retail for $49.99, while the PS2 memory card adapter will be priced at $14.99. The Blu-ray remote control will go for $24.99. The HDMI cable is going to sell for $49.99.

SCEA boss, Kaz Hirai, has commented: “With so much packed into our system, we’re confident that the PS3 will be just as ‘future-proof’ as our other PlayStation products.”

It has also been announced that the first 400,000 PlayStation 3s in North America will be bundled with a Blu-Ray movie, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The movie itself will be hitting stores December 12, while the PlayStation 3 and Blu-Ray pack-in will release November 17.
