Today, THQ have announced that they are beginning development on Titan Quest: Immortal Throne, the first expansion to their popular title, Titan Quest. The expansion is due for worldwide release sometime in early 2007.

The expansion will feature a vast array of new content and locales, featuring everything from the swampy Mediterranean to the fiery depths of Hades. As well as the new settings, Immortal Throne will also feature a whopping 8 new character classes.

Bob Aniello, the senior vice president of worldwide marketing for THQ had this to say,

“The summer release of Titan Quest marked a strong global success for THQ on both a critical and commercial level. Titan Quest: Immortal Throne will provide the large existing fan base with exciting new content.”
