GameStop: PS3, Wii North American Initial Attach Rate

GameStop has announced in its quarterly financial statement that the PS3 has an attach rate of 1.5 games sold for every console sold. Nintendo’s Wii doubles that amount, with 3 games sold for every console sold. Madden NFL 07 and Resistance: Fall of Man led the sales chart for the PS3, while Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Red Steel lead the sales charts for the Wii. GameStop attributes the low attach rate with the PS3 to resellers, and most likely, that number will go up once the PS3 has been out for a few months.
