According to analyst iSuppli’s most recent research, they have determined that manufacturing costs have dropped enough that Microsoft is now making a profit on selling Xbox 360s. At launch last year, it was estimated that it cost $525 to make a Xbox 360, however, iSuppli’s new research shows that the cost is now down to around $325, an almost 40% drop!
Microsoft could use this as an advantage by cutting the retail price on the console, but that’s highly unlikely, sine they’ve always officially denied any price cuts.

1argh amazon.COM was selling 1000 xbox360’s for $100, but nothing like that happened on amazon.co.uk, still nearly £300 ($560) for us, microsoft weren’t making a profit from selling in america but they were when they started selling in europe from the start. bloody sick of these prices.

2There are lots of good deals at the moment monir;
You can already have a Premium 360 + Gears for
269.99 ; 10 quid then what they used to sell the
stand-alone premium for !
Yeah, it’s not a 100 dollar core but hi-def gaming’s become more affordable
(Besides the amazon.com deal was due to a voting scheme where people voted which deal was most interesting)

4If you’re not playing your old consoles, just try and trade them in for cash. Saves on getting a 360, mom’s happy with the price and no complaints about the other consoles you don’t play on any longer.
Lots of people have bought Gears and loved it, some people like you thought it was overhyped, bought it to see what the fuss was about and loved it. And then there are some that still don’t like it whether over hyped or not. I recommend that you visit a friend that has the game and try it out (or perhaps in a store on a demo pod). Try before you buy eh ..
Apart from that, there are quite a number of good games on the 360 and a lot of good games coming.
Good luck !

5Overhyped is not the word … something nefarious is going on I don’t care what anyone says (and I know that is not very open-minded of me … not at all but I can’t help that in this instance) … how does THIS game get 18 … yes count them 18 perfect scores? Please someone tell me this … because my mind cannot wrap itself around this occurence at all. I just cannot comprehend this on any level.
