Australia: 30,000 Wii Pre-Orders

On December 3rd, 2006 in Uncategorized -

It’s four days until the launch of the Wii in Australia, and the consumers are making sure they get their Wii before it’s too late. Approximately 30,000 pre-orders have been made through most of all Australian retailers. The Australian Wii will retail for AU $399, or US$ 299, and will include Wii Sports.

“Australian retail feedback suggests Wii is heading towards being the biggest launch of any new video games system in history.”

This isn’t a big surprise, seeing as how the Wii sold out in hours in Japan. A few months ago Nintendo of Australia urged people to pre-order if they want a system at launch, however, it is not know how many consoles Australia is getting.
