Suspected PS3 Robber Killed
On Friday night in New Hanover, North Carolina, a sheriff deputy shot and killed Peyton Strickland, an 18 year old who was in the suspect in an armed PS3 robbery.
Few details are known at this time, however, we do know that police officers knocked on Peyton’s home door with a warrant to search his house in connection with the PS3 case. Strickland answered the door and a loud fight occurred, ending with both Strickland and his German Sheppard Blaze being killed. Strickland’s roommate claims that Strickland was completely unarmed during the fight.
The New Hanover police have already launched an investigation into Strickland’s death. New Hanover County District Attorney, Ben David, released this statement:
“No one’s above the law. If there’s any criminal conduct that can be established, I’m not going to hesitate to treat them as any other defendant.”
