Microsoft expects to ship more than 10 million Xbox 360 units by the end of the holiday season. Peter Moore seems to be confident of sales, since the 360 is going to be in stock and ready to purchase. This is to make sure that no consumer is left without one, and if PS3 and Wii fans don’t find enough PS3′s or Wii’s, will they resort to 360′s.

“This holiday, we expect to have sold in excess of 10 million units worldwide and an expected catalog of 160 high-definition games,”

Microsoft will be bringing the big guns out when Halo 3 launches, but that’s some time from now. The 360 has been recently ignored due to the launch festivities of the Wii and PS3, hanging on with releases like Gears of War. Despite the large lead of sales, it’s hard to predict what will happen when Sony and Nintendo ship enough units.
