Fallout MMO Coming?

According to a presentation document from Interplay, there are plans to develop an MMO based on the Fallout franchise, and they expect it to cost a whopping $75 million to make. The money will come from Interplay and investors, where $5 million will be used for pre-production, $40 million for the development itself, and $30 million as “launch budget” (marketing etc.). Interplay plans to release the subscription based MMO game in 2010, and hopes to reach 1 million subscribers within the first year.

ah, thanks..
question: i dunno if any of you have ever played WoW. But is the gameplay really as addictive as the press makes it out to be? I wanna know because lately i’ve become sooo interested in online gaming.

rule 1: Try DiabloII expansion or guildwars first as a (cheap and fun) safety measure. If you still got a social life and your job/wife/diploma. You are fit to try wow out.
rule 2: you can’t be korean, they always die when they play it.

rofl doom, *sigh* koreans.
i recommend not trying it, you will lose your life and be a loser most definetly, spend most of your ‘free’ time talking about the MMO you’re playing or even to a certain extreme act them out. go to youtube and type ‘live action role playing’. god help your soul if you get into this cult type game.

I know many people who where able to *kick* WOW
The mere fact that these people speak about kicking a habbit, as in heavily addicted makes me shudder in horror.
in short: smoking is less hazardous to your health than wow is.

There plenty of middleware about now to do this with less of a budget and less of a pessimistic timescale, no matter what features their after. Poor naive investors, gettin e-screwed again. 2010!

”would’ve been hooked if my account wasn’t cancelled, good old mum”
Life saver! Your mom is kickass!!! Mine is pc-retarded:(
Yeah, it’s silly to pay that much. Just a hoax if you ask me. MMO is just a buzzword due to wow, but only EQ and WOW seem to make big profits. But I could be wrong.
