Microsoft’s Blue Dragon didn’t just sell a lot the past week, it outsold another top-rated RPG, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii. According to Japanese charts, Blue Dragon was the fourth best selling game from December 4 to 10, while Twilight Princess was at a 17th place.

Naturally, it would have been quite a different story if Nintendo had enough Wii consoles. Most Wii owners who wanted Zelda bought it when the console launched in Japan, over 145,000 copies were sold during launch, but the game was still surpassed by Wii Sports and Wii Play. Blue Dragon on the other hand has seen great reviews and sales, an estimated 70,000 copies have been sold, which is quite impressive considering the small installed base of Xbox 360 consoles.
