Zelda, Mario, And Metroid Delayed

On December 20th, 2006 in Uncategorized -

CVG has been told by “reliable sources” at Nintendo of America that The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, Super Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime: Corruption, have all been delayed to Q4 2007, near Christmas time. These three titles are supposed to be top-notch blockbusters, and console sellers for the Wii and DS. Many fans expected them to be released suring 2007, and not concentrated all for the 2007 holidays. The release line-up for Q1 next year are pretty weak for the Wii, having only a handful of titles. The same can be said about the DS. Nintendo has this to say:

“We never confirmed a date for Super Mario Galaxy, but I can confirm that Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 and Phantom Hourglass will all release in 2007. We can’t confirm an exact release date for any of these titles at this time.”

That would mean it can be debunked into a rumor, but if this is uncovered to be true, many fans are definitely going to be disappointed.
