Today, the Times announced the Wii as the Christmas console winner, citing various factors such as its “get off the couch and play” gameplay and cheaper cost.
Paul Jackson from Forrester Research, who was cited in the article, said this about the Wii,
“Nintendo seems to have stolen the high ground in terms of playability and entertainment value. Nintendo seems to be surfing this wave of public interest and this idea of accessibility that they started with Nintendogs and these brain games.
