Yes, it’s a known fact that Europeans are shafted whenever it comes to games and gadgets. But they’re also the winner sometimes: Konami has announced that the forthcoming European version of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, the latest entry in the venerable series, will see additions that are exclusive to the Europeans.

Scheduled for release this April, Europeans will enjoy 12 more characters than that of US and Japanese gamers; the careers of the available characters have been expanded to highlight their key attributes – athleticism or physical strength, for example. It will also include new maps, missions, two more multiplayer arenas, and a new ‘Boss Battle’ mode where players are rewarded with new recuitable characters for taking down the game’s bigger adversaries.
