PS3 Price Cut By Japanese Retailers

On January 22nd, 2007 in Uncategorized -

ps320.jpgUnsurprisingly, sales of the PS3 aren’t moving along as planned in Japan, mainly due to popularity of the Nintendo Wii, and the PS3′s game library at this point. In an effort to get PS3′s moving off of the shelves of their stores, Japanese retailers have cut the price of the PS3 by as much as 20%! This comes after the PS3 only managed to sell some 30,000 units last week, compared to over 100,000 Wiis. The price cut should in theory move a lot of consoles, and should be further fueled by new PS3 games that are hitting the Japanese market these days.
