Sonic In Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

On February 9th, 2007 in Uncategorized -

SonicYojiro Ogawo, the producer behind Sonic & the Secret Rings for the Wii, was talking to UK Official Nintendo Magazine. He was asked whether he would like to see Sonic debut alongside the other Nintendo characters and Solid Snake in the highly anticipated fighter Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He replied with the following:

“In my personal opinion, it would be great to have Sonic in it. But that would really involve Sonic and Nintendo’s management, it’s nothing to do with me!”

Sonic was originally planned to be in Super Smash Bros. Melee, although due to the development time, they finalized the game before they could add him in. Sakurai, the director of Brawl, had said that Hideo Kojima had approached him asking for Solid Snake to be in Brawl. This would mean that all Sega would need to do is talk to Sakurai about it.

Kojima is actually working on the character himself. For some fans, this should’t be the direction the Super Smash Bros. series are taking, as they believe the developers should only concentrate on first party title characters.
