Rumor: LocoRoco headed to PS3
The popular LocoRoco franchise, which has made a name for itself on the PSP, is quite likely coming to the PS3. This can’t be marked as a huge shock, seeing as PS3 needs all the popular exclusive franchises it can get right now, and would be a perfect fit for the SIXAXIS controller. The first hint came from Phil Harrison’s GDC keynote, in which he spent time within the achievement room showcasing different awards. Visible were awards for upcoming PS3 titles, but also a LocoRoco award made an appearance. To further clarify, during a conference at GDC, Tsutomu Kuono, director of LocoRoco, spoke about a “LocoRoco Postmortem: Making Happiness into Gameplay.” The seminar had a lot to do with game design, but when discussing what improvements he would like to see in a future version and whether or not SIXAXIS would be used on the PS3, he had some pretty suggestive comments.
“I can’t elaborate any further, but you can probably guess what all that means.” Pertaining to the Sixaxis, he said, “I can’t comment, but I won’t let our fans expectations down.”
