PS3 Fastest Selling Console Ever in UK

Everyone expected that the PS3 completely bombed in its European and Australian launch due to the perceived low sales. Although, it may seem surprising to you but the PS3 was actually the fastest selling console in the United Kingdom. 165,000 units were sold over the weekend release, which was way more than both the Xbox 360 (70,000) and Wii (105,000) during their launch weekend. Many people would argue that the PS3 had a lot systems more in stock than the other two consoles, but isn’t that what Sony was hoping for anyways?
