Xbox 360 Elite Announced, Pictures
Microsoft finally confirmed the rumors and announced Xbox 360 Elite, a black, more enhanced version of the console. According to the announcement, Elite will include a 120 GB hard drive, a HDMI port, a high-definition cable, a premium black finish for the console and matching wireless controller and Xbox Live headset. Elite and its matching accessories are expected to begin arriving in retail stores throughout the US on April 29; it will be sold for $479.99.
The 120GB hard drive will also be sold separately for $179.99, as well as black wireless controllers ($49.99), headset, play & charge kit, and rechargeable battery. Photos of the Elite unit, along with its accessories can be found in this Flickr set by Major Nelson.
Additionally, Microsoft also announced that it has gotten several new partners on Xbox Live Marketplace including ADV Films, National Geographic, A&E Network, Totalvid.com, as well as more high-definition content from Paramount and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
