Fender Backs Rock Band
Rock Band, the new game developed by Harmonix (makers of Guitar Hero), which is now owned by MTV and EA, has made an interesting announcement today. Fender will be the instrument exclusively used within the game, which means another new controller to add to your growing collection. The deal was signed to use the Fender Stratocaster as the guitar controller. Also within the context of the game itself, bases, amps, and pretty much anything you can think of that Fender makes will be of the Fender branding.
Two brands, Roland Corporation and BOSS, have both also signed on to be featured within the game as well. BOSS produce guitar effects pedals, which if you really want to read between the line may be an indication of another peripherial that will launch along with the game.
