Nintendo Sells 10 Million DS Lites In Japan

According to Famitsu, Nintendo has sold more than 10 million DS Lites in Japan since its release, waaay back in 2006. Worldwide, the sales have topped 22 million, in just over a single year. Six million have been sold in North America, and six million in the rest of the world, primarily Europe. Overall sales of the DS and DS Lite have surpassed 40 million, making it the fastest selling console in history. In comparison, Sony has only shipped 24 million PSPs, with worldwide sales reportedly around 17 million.
