Nintendo only Partially Moving
As suspected earlier, a move is upcoming for Nintendo HQ. However, only sales, marketing and advertising teams are expected move to New York City or San Francisco. This will account for roughly 80 employees, while the rest will stay put. The reasoning for this move actually has to do with the plans Nintendo had for an expansion building just up the road. The building had to be approved by Nintendo of Japan before it could move forward, but the plans have been sitting dead for over a year. The move will allow for some more growth to take place in the building, by freeing up some much needed extra space.
The ironic news is that Nintendo of America has a plot of land which is needs to unload. The company that is currently interested in that space is Microsoft.
