Rampart Headed to PSN

Rampart, the game that is one part Strategy, one part Tetris and one part awesome is coming to the PlayStation Network tomorrow, with a nice high-def overhaul, naturally. I had the pleasure of first playing the game on an Xbox compilation disk last year. Basically, you are given different tetris peices, and a time limit in which to build a completely enclosed based. If you do so, you gain cannons to place inside the base, based on how large a space you’ve created. Then in sheer multiplayer fury, you fling cannons and break apart other players walls. The point is to be as nasty as possible and leave their walls in weird ruins so that they cannot possibly finish the whole thing in the time period next round.
I love the game to death, which means the PlayStation Network is gaining a lot of validity. All those naysayers who figured it could never complete against the new content on XBLA and the sheer amount of virtual goodness on the Wii now have Calling all Cars and Rampart to drool over. Take that!
