Gears of War Golf?

Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a football (or soccer, as you Americans know it) game with the Cogs and Locusts from Gears of War? Epic has done the next best thing: they created a golf game from the title.
The studio has revealed that they are working on a spin-off title that has Marcus Fenix and company take up golf clubs instead of big, heavy and very masculine weapons.
So, how did the game come into being? This idea comes as courtesy of a Korean publisher who wanted to make casual games using Unreal Engine 3. Mark Rein from Epic said: “So we got an animator to make a golf swing for Marcus Fenix, and then a programmer took one of the Gears levels and added some mounds and stuff to make a course.” The game’s grenade launching mechanic was used for the ball.
Those looking to brush up their golf skills will be disappointed to know that it is an internal title and may not be published ever.
