Jackass Game On Its Way
One can never get tired of Jackass and its numerous stunts. That’s what MTV is counting on, as it has announced that Red Mile Entertainment and MTV Games are working on a Jackass game for the PS2, PSP and DS for release on September 24.
As expected, the Jackass crew, including Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O, have provided their likenesses and original dialogue for the game. They’ve also worked with the developer to bring original stunts into the game which they had not attempted in the films or the TV series.
“We’re excited as all hell about it,” Knoxville said. “It is kind of odd that people will take on our personas and depressing that they’re going to have to do that. We’ve never really worked on anything like this before. This is our first video game. We just hope that our video game is as crappy as our movies.”
As for the game itself, it will let gamers create their own Jackass episode using an array of stunts. There will be 35 stunts in the game, including bumper car races across New York’s rooftops, rolling down San Fransisco streets in a trash can, among some of them. For the PSP, there will be unlockable footage from the TV series, as well as the option to save replays and share them with other gamers through the handheld’s Wi-fi feature.
