300, Saw, Game Adaptations In The Works

On June 4th, 2007 in Uncategorized -

How cares about new, innovative games, when you can port movies to games and cash in on it? That’s exactly what newly founded Brash Entertainment is doing. They have raised $400 million to adapt the movie 300 (a.k.a. the two-hour music video) and the gore-fest-trilogy SAW into games on the PC and consoles.

That’s not all, however, as the studio has reportedly 12 titles in the works, all licensed content from five major film studios. Given the nature of games based on movie licenses, it seems there is little hope for Brash Entertainment on the artistic side. On the business side, they’ll probably cash in big time on kids who think a third person action 300 game is cool.
