Frozenbyte has announced Shadowgrounds Survivor, a spin-off/sequel to their hit action game. The game is due out later this year.

“Shadowgrounds Survivor combines explosive action and addictive gameplay and adds a touch of oldschool flavor to finish the highly anticipated continuation of the Shadowgrounds universe,” says company CEO Lauri Hyvarinen. “Shadowgrounds Survivor is armed to the teeth and has plenty of new features that propel it to the top of the action genre. It’s brewing up to be one heck of a game!”

The game will feature 3 playable characters, RPG-like upgrade system, campaign mode, survival mode, integrated physics, original soundtrack and easy modding. Further information and screenshots can be found on the game’s teaser site.
