It seems like with all the changes going on at Red Octane, downloadable content for Guitar Hero 2 has really been put on the back burner. So far we’ve only received a few Guitar Hero 1 tracks for not exactly bargain bin prices. Someone from Red Octane has posted on the official Guitar Hero forums with an update in regards to the content.

While nothing’s been formally announced, look for something to come down the pipeline around the July timeframe

Being an owner of the title on the 360, my biggest quips are both the cost of the content, and the fact you are forced to grab three songs (one you probably want and two you do not) for one expensive price. iTunes has nailed things with the 99 cent price range, so it seems pretty strange that they would not aim for something similar to that. After all you are getting more than 60 songs for the 60 dollar game.
