I never much cared for Crash Bandicoot, much in the same way that Rayman never did it for me either. Perhaps my Nintendo fed youth made both series feel like cheap knock offs. But then again, I’ve never really invested much time into either series, so I guess my opinion doesn’t matter too much. Like so many of the key franchises we all care about from the early 90′s, many of them are in dire need of a boost. For Rayman is meant essentially eliminating him as a key character, and replacing him with the much more personable Rabbids. For Sonic it means stripping away the development from the Sonic team, and handing it over to Bioware. Crash Bandicoot, for every system except the PS3 strangely enough will be coming out this Fall and tries to give the franchise a new jolt of energy. Will it work successfully, or will Crash find himself left behind in the 90s.
