Announced at Sony’s E3 press briefing last week, it was revealed today that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be released in the Japanese PlayStation Store this October. The sneak peek will offer online play in addition to a number of vehicles, including some unrevealed concept cars.

No pricing decisions were made. GT Prologue’s are nothing new, as Polyphony Digital, the developers, had previously released GT4 Prologue ahead of the final game’s release, as well as Gran Turismo HD through the PSN.

It is not yet known whether it is Japan-only and whether it will hit other regions. You can check out some screenshots here.
