Sony Going To Make Their “Big Statements” At Leipzig
Though it is the general consensus that Sony had the best press conference at E3, it was still fairly underwhelming. CEO of SCEE, David Reeves, said that Sony will pull out the big guns at Leipzig.
“We prefer to make our big statements in Leipzig, it suits us much better. Yes it has been a bit of a slow summer, but we feel that we have kept the momentum going. There will be absolute fireworks at peak, that I can promise you. We will be doing things no-one has seen yet for both PS3 and PSP.”
At first glance it would seem as though Reeves was speaking about software, but their may be some hardware news as well concerning the SIXAXIS controller. Kaz Hirai alluded to the possibility of rumble finally coming to SIXAXIS.
“Uh, well that’s something that I know the consumers have told us they’re looking to have in the PS3 controller, it’s something that we’re obviously looking at, now that we’ve reached an agreement with Immersion. We’re also looking at a variety of other things that we can incorporate with the controller, and we’ll come out with announcements when we think we have the right mix of features for the PS3 controller.”
