An interesting new item for Super Smash Bros. Brawl was revealed today. Though it might seem like a regular ball of yarn, it’s actually a “Smoke Ball”. The Smoke Ball doesn’t do anything to the characters, it merely obscures the player’s vision. It acts like any other item, players can pick it up and throw it at other players. Though the first image of the Smoke Ball shows it “smoking” in several colors, another image suggests that when there are more than one is out at a time, each one will have it’s own different color. It is also unclear as to whether or not players can influence the direction that the Smoke Ball smokes in.
