Popular weekly gaming magazine Famitsu included a look at upcoming Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon: Labyrinth of Forgotten Time for the Wii. First of all, both Chocobo and Cid will be key characters in the story as it develops, which leads them to the City of Forgotten time, whose inhabitants have all forgotten their memories. The game will also include randomly generated dungeons, which is always a bit of a questionable feature.

A first to the series is the new job system, which will let you choose between 10 different classes and develop that job level. As for controller setup, only the Wiimote is required and can be played in a horizontal or vertical position, the vertical being the recommended setup by the developers. Japan will be receiving this title sometime this winter, while a release is not yet announced for North America, if trends can be expected, we’ll be seeing this title sometime mid 2008.
