Retail Week: Buy Bioshock
The decision in stores is pretty simple this week. Own a 360 or compatible PC? You should basically be on your way out the door right now to buy Bioshock. If you don’t own either, it may be time to upgrade or take the plunge. Of course, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you were able to secure a copy before the street date as you rightfully should have tried to do.
It’s been all too long that we’ve had a high rated title hit the market, and this is only the start of good things to come. Still, at this point Bioshock seems poised to pick up some game of the year awards; certainly on the 360 it’s merely a question between this, Halo 3 and Mass Effect. Truly, your only excuse to not buy the game is that you really need to hold onto your cash for some of the other big titles in the next few weeks. Oh yes, and apparently there were some other titles that decided to brave it against Bioshock. Nintendo however sneakily pushed back Metroid one week, and may have been a smart decision in the end. This may be the month of Metroid, but this was without a doubt the week of Bioshock.
