Quite a few rumors have been floating around about Bioshock making an appearance on the PS3 in the near future. Hidden code messages and rampant gossip have led to conclusive speculation. Fortunately however, instead of giving the usual PR babble, Ken Levine gets straight to the point that it won’t be happening.

I promise you, there is no secret plan about the PS3 that we’re keeping from people. There’s no PS3 development going on that we’re hiding. There’s lots of stuff that gets into game code, plans change over time and we got an exclusive deal with Microsoft … that’s not a Rosetta Stone discovery.

Read between the lines, Microsoft has again gone to lengths to secure exclusivity, and you can bet after the deals that were cut, it’s going to remain that way. After stellar reviews, a lot of people were hoping for 2K to spread the love. It seems you’ll finally have to settle on a 360 or upgrading your PC if you’d like to partake in the joys of Rapture.
