Some nice, shiny screenshots from Yakuza 3 can be seen on Gameinfowire.com, although an official announcement is yet to be made regarding the game. Apparently, it is in development for the PS3; more information is to be expected soon.

Wondering where the first sequel is? Since Yakuza did not do so well in the American market, its sequel wasn’t released in the region. Yakuza 2 was only released in Japan and was a major improvement over the original, according to various sources. It would be interesting to see how Sega handles the franchise in the Western market in the future.
