Heavy metal news! Atari and CD Projekt have announced that it has collaborated with several metal acts to create music inspired by The Witcher, an upcoming action-RPG.

First up is Polish death metal act Vader, who has a large following throughout Europe. The band has recorded a track called ‘Sword of the Witcher’ which will be featured on their forthcoming album and DVD. A video of the song is already up on the game’s website.

?It?s great to be able to take part in an international project such as this, which puts the music we believe in and love in front of so many new people,? said Tomasz Dziubi?ski of Vader?s record label Metal Mind Productions. ?Vader already have a devoted following, and with the The Witcher set to explode globally this can only get bigger.?

Next up is symphonic metal band Nightwish, who have recorded ‘Amaranth’ for the game. A video of the song will be released with the game once it’s released. Other bands have also signed up as part of a deal with Nuclear Blast, the world’s biggest independent heavy metal record label.

The Witcher is set for release next month.
