Sex Pistols Reunite for Guitar Hero

On September 26th, 2007 in Uncategorized -

Add one more to Guitar Hero 3: it has been announced that Sex Pistols have reunited to re-record the band’s infamous anti-government track “Anarchy in the UK” for the upcoming game. Apparently, the song’s original multi-tracks have been misplaced, resulting in the reunion.

“Re-recording them–what a stress you put on us but we rose to the occasion I think…admirably!” said John “Johnny Rotten” Lydon in the announcement. “A bit of anarchy in a video game is alright by me.”

All original band members except for bassist Glen Matlock participated in the recording. The group is also performing at a concert at London’s The Brixton Academy on November 8.

Guitar Hero 3 ships on October 28.
