ET: Quake Wars Linux Update

On October 7th, 2007 in Uncategorized -

The official Enemy Territory: Quake Wars website offers a status update on the Linux edition of the recently-released multiplayer shooter from id and Splash Damage.

Apparently, there are more Linux servers for the game than Windows; in fact, there are over 1300 of them. id programmer Timothee Besset reports that work with the Linux client has been progressing and that they are running a closed beta-test right now. The full Linux client will allow gamers on penguin-powered computers to compete against and alongside Windows players, with full Punkbuster support. The client is promised in a few weeks.
